Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: My favorite is economics because the subject encourages complex thinking and pertains to the real world.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: I have been given the Excellence in Academics Award three times so far, an outstanding in English and history recognition my sophomore year and my team placed first in the region for Future Business Leaders of America hospitality management and seventh in the state for FBLA hospitality management.

Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: Yes. I’m president of FBLA and Global Citizens, a member of Interact Club, Habitat for Humanity, MiniThon, National Honor Society and Model UN. I’m also a Hornet Ambassador for EHS. Additionally, I work a part-time job in customer service.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: I am planning to attend college and major in economics/finance.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: Finding my own path. In high school it is easy to succumb to peer pressure and be dissuaded from your original path. I think my biggest challenge so far was to identify what I want in life, and regardless of what anyone says, set out to pursue my dreams.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I won’t spend my life working on just one project, but whatever my pursuit is, I would like my actions to receive the recognition.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: Tuan Pham, my father, Thu Truong, my mom and Tien Pham, my younger brother.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: No I don’t.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: Life is too short to dwell on past mistakes and failures. Pursue your dreams and live to the fullest.
