The Emmaus Woman’s Club recently named Ashley Rivera as the club’s Girl of the Month for December 2015.

Rivera was recognized for her achievements in family and consumer science.

A senior at Emmaus High School, Rivera, of Alburtis, is president of the Latino Leadership Club. She also works in two retail shops.

Rivera’s hobbies include drawing, painting and designing T-shirts. Her interests include fashion, cosmetology and music.

“I plan on continuing my education, although my major is still undecided,” Rivera said. “I want to be the best at what I do. Also moving to New York City is something I see in my future. But most importantly, I plan on living a happy life.”

Rivera is a daughter of Denise Figueroa and Victor Rivera.
