There will be a spring open house 2 p.m. March 13.

All current and prospective families and students are welcome, as well as anyone who would simply like to tour the school.

March 5 will be the first administration of the new SAT and brings to a close Central’s Saturday SAT prep classes for this year. Good luck to everyone taking the test this weekend.

This week many seniors, accompanied by some of the staff, are taking part in the Kairos XI retreat at the Jesuit Retreat Center in Wernersville, Berks County.

Kairos is a unique four-day retreat offered at many high schools and colleges across the nation and is available only to seniors at ACCHS. Kairos comes from the Greek word meaning “God’s time” and focuses on building and strengthening relationships with others, self-examination and spending time with God.

Senior group leaders give presentations and students participate in other activities, discussions and prayer. Rarely do people return without feeling they have experienced something special with their classmates. Three Kairos retreats are held per year and all spots fill up in a matter of days.
