EMMAUS PUBLIC LIBRARY
Volunteers are needed to set up, staff and break down the 18th annual Friends of the Emmaus Public Library used book sale which will take place in the cafeteria of the Lower Macungie Middle School April 23.
Set up takes place after the close of the school day April 22 and concludes before the 6 p.m. start of the Friends preview night sale.
In mid-afternoon April 22 about 500 boxes of pre-sorted books stored at the library need to be loaded onto a truck.
About 18,000 pre-enjoyed books organized by category will be available for sale in the Lower Macungie Middle School cafeteria. Arranged by category for easier shopping, the books will include recent fiction, health and wellness topics, mysteries, histories, biographies, cookbooks, hobbies, business, literature and children’s books.
A special section of first edition and rare books will be also be available for sale at market prices. An assortment of CDs and DVDs are included in the sale
At the 3:45 p.m. conclusion of the sale April 23 there is a particular need for volunteers to pack up the remainders, load them back on the truck and then unload the boxes at the Emmaus Public Library.
