Coroner seeks help to identify woman

The Lehigh County Coroner’s and District Attorney’s offices, Allentown Police and the Homicide Task Force are investigating the death of an unidentified Asian female and are asking the public’s help.

Coroner Scott M. Grim pronounced the woman dead at 3:45 p.m. Feb. 14. An autopsy was performed Feb. 16 and the cause of death is attributed to multiple gunshot wounds, Grim said.

He ruled the manner of death as homicide. Grim said her body was discovered stuffed in a large blue recycling container in the parking lot to the rear of 801-811 E. Tilghman St., Allentown, around 2:45 p.m.

The woman is described as 18-30 years old, 5 feet to 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 119 pounds with black hair approximately 12 inches in length. She had a surgical scar approximately 6-7 inches on her left forearm and multiple scars on her right forearm. She was wearing pink fingernail polish, blue pantyhose, Anne Klein style black dress pants in size 4 petite, Croft & Barrow green sweater with a white collar and cuffs, size medium, a black Vassakette bra, black and white “Nike Keystone” baseball sneakers size 6Y. She was also wearing a yellow metal bracelet with the inscription “A daughter is a little girl who grows up to be a friend,” a yellow metal chain bracelet with purple, clear, green and yellow stones, a metal chain necklace with an off-white pearl, a tear drop with a clear stone and a key shape with clear stones with a heart shape pendant with purple stones, a yellow metal round pendant with a yellow metal band and a second yellow metal band with clear stones and a heart shape red stone inside, a bronze color pendant with a clear stone and a shield like pendant with the letter “R” and an image of a bird.
