2016 Lehigh Valley Auto Show seeks volunteers for annual event

Volunteers are needed to staff the 2016 Lehigh Valley Auto Show.

The Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association’s 2016 Lehigh Valley Auto Show, with the theme, “Gear Up for Excitement,” begins on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus and runs through March 20.

Volunteers will have four-hour shifts, receive a free T-shirt and get a meal if their shift falls over lunch or dinner. To volunteer, contact Tom Kwiatek, executive director, Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association, at: tkwiatek@ptd.net or 610-758-9691.

Makes and models from more than 32 manufacturers will be featured. this year’s four-day event featuring more than 110,000 square feet of new cars, trucks, SUVs, vans and cycles. The show’s media preview and benefit preview party is 6 - 10 p.m. March 16 and is open to the public.

The chair of this year’s show is Sam Borrelli president of Faulkner Chevrolet Cadillac, Bethlehem.

“This year we’re excited to announce an expanded line-up and ride and drive program,” said Kwiatek. “Ride and drive participants already include Ford, Lincoln, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota.”

Auto show hours are 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Thursday - Saturday, and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday. Children under five receive free admission. Parking is free.

The Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association, founded in 1998, is made up of 61 new car franchised dealers with more than 4,900 employees for a combined annual payroll of $244 million.
