Residents who prefer to be notified in a way other than the listed home phone number should visit www.alburtis.org and click on the Swift 911 icon.

The system enables the borough to contact residents for water, snow, emergency or other important issues. All calls received will have the caller identification of the Borough of Alburtis.

The second scam is from an IRS representative informing the residents they owe tax money.

According to police, both are scams. Police are reminding residents to not provide money over the phone.
