Bond artwork to be featured at Eight Oaks Craft Distillers

The original works of Albany Township artist Jon Bond will be featured Feb. 20 and 21 at Eight Oaks Craft Distillers, 7189 Route 309, New Tripoli.

“We have several pieces of Jon’s art on display at the distillery and are excited to have Jon showcase more of his work here,” said Chad Butters, co-founder and distiller at Eight Oaks. “I think his paintings of the farms and natural beauty of this area really complement what we are all about as a farm distillery.”

Bond draws inspiration from the rustic scenery of northern Berks County.

His paintings reflect the sunsets and atmospherics of the Kittatinny Ridge and iconic farmsteads of Pennsylvania Dutch Country.

He works primarily in oils, most often on wood panels or canvas, and occasionally on scraps of cardboard when preparing studies or sketches.

Bond, who has exhibited in countless juried shows and in his art gallery in Kempton, will be on hand during the showcase featuring many original works displayed in the Eight Oaks tasting room.

His original works of art will be available for purchase.

Butters and Bond will also guide tours of the distillery where more original pieces will be on display.

Butters will discuss distillation equipment and techniques and Bond will discuss the history and inspiration for his pieces making this a truly unique event.

Tours, which will be conducted four times per day, include private tasting and cocktail.
