Ellen M. Ferretti, the former Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (PA DCNR) has joined Barry Isett & Associates, Inc. (BIA).

Her responsibilities at BIA involve the planning, designing and monitoring of projects and programs, particularly those involving environmental services as well as projects in the public sector.

Ferretti served as Deputy Secretary for Parks and Forestry, where she was responsible for the management of Pennsylvania state parks and forests; Vice President and also Regional Director and Coordinator of Pennsylvania Environmental Council; as well as a variety of posts with conservancies.

She has held executive and project management positions with several engineering firms including Borton-Lawson, Arris Engineering Group, LTD, and Quad Three Group, where she was responsible for project management of environmental work including Phase I and II site assessments, brown-fields and gray-fields, hazardous materials assessment, soil/groundwater testing, wetland delineation/mitigation designs, NEPA documentation, permitting, compliance, park and trail master planning, land use planning, wastewater and other related services.
