Supervisors deal with many issues

Weisenberg supervisors had a light agenda for their January meeting.

After approval of the past meeting minutes and accepting the treasurer’s report, William Beitler, surveyor, came before the board representing the F.&M. Company No. 11 final subdivision plan.

This subdivision concerns two lots at 7724 Carpet Road.

After reviewing the plan, supervisors granted final plan approval.

The West Hills Business Center project requested a reduction in its letter of credit. Supervisors approved a reduction to $112,852.73.

In other matters, a request was made for a speed limit sign along Helfrich Road.

Roadmaster Tony Werley told the board he would check the area to see if this is warranted.

A one-year renewal of the junk yard license for Peters Automotive Services at 3080 Golden Key Road was approved by supervisors.

Fire Chief Brian Carl reported to the board the Weisenberg Township Volunteer Fire Company received five calls so far this year.

Total for last year was 182.

Solicitor Donald Lipson gave copies of a proposed amendment relating to maximum height of structures to the board.

This amendment was proposed as a result of last month’s request for relief by David Rothrock to construct a barn which would exceed the maximum height regulation.

Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the adoption at 6:45 p.m. prior to next month’s meeting.
