Reported at Trexlertown Self-Storage, 1455 Trexlertown ROad, Lower Macungie Township, actors gained access to the storage facility and entered trailers and vehicles and removed multiple items between 2 p.m. Dec. 18, 2015 and 10:54 a.m. Dec. 19, 2015. Police said seven people lost items in the incident. The investigation continues.

Reported at Lower Macungie Self-Storage, 2830 Route 100 Lower Macungie Township, actors cut a hole in a chain link fence along the edge of the storage facility, entered five locked utility trailers by cutting the latches and locks off the trailer doors and removed an all-terrain vehicle, a dirtbike and various tools and toolboxes from the utility trailers within the facility between Jan. 4 and Jan. 19. The investigation continues.

Reported by People First Federal Credit Union, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, between 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13 and 11:48 a.m. Jan. 14 a male from Brooklynn, NY and three females from Whitehall altered and deposited MoneyGram money transfer documents into the automatic teller machine at the branch location. The suspects were detained after they attempted to withdraw money from a flagged account. The scam appeared to have started at a Bethlehem branch of the credit union. Michael Williams, 49, of Emmaus, is to be charged with driving under the influence and additional traffic violations after a two-vehicle traffic accident along Riverbend Road at Elbow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 5:39 p.m. Jan. 14 According to police, Williams allegedly struck another vehicle in the intersection. Williams allegedly exhibited signs of impairment. Charges will be filed through District Court 31-3-02.

An Allentown man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence and disorderly conduct after a traffic stop along State Route 222 South at Cedarbrook Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:02 a.m. Jan. 2. The investigation continues.

David Allan Dries, 23, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly removed $69.98 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 13. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

Brittany C. Holben, 34, of Emmaus, was charged with harassment after she allegedly pushed a person in the 7000 block of Bell Gate Road, Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 14. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

A 51-year-old male, of Trexlertown, was issued a non-traffic citation for harassment after he admitted to punching a 66-year-old female in the face during an argument while in the 6700 block of Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:59 p.m. Jan. 15.

A 17-year-old female, of Allentown, was charged with drug possession after she returned to a residence in the 7000 block of Pioneer Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 8:30 p.m. Jan. 14 and was in possession of an illegal substance. Charges were filed through juvenile probation.

A 22-year-old Mertztown male was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana after police were called to Mertztown Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:37 a.m. Jan. 16 on reports of a man seen stumbling in the roadway.

Criminal trespass

Kenneth Schmal, 27, of Allentown, was charged with criminal trespass after an incident in the 7500 block of Buttercup Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2 a.m. Jan. 16. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

Reported by a resident in the 4600 block of Mill Road, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors broke into a detached shed by prying open the double door lock with an unknown object and, once inside the shed, removed approximately $7,320 worth of tools between 9 a.m. Oct. 26, 2015 and 10:30 a.m. Jan. 13. A female from Allentown reported to police she was sitting in her vehicle while parked in a parking lot at 4900 Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 2:17 a.m. Jan. 14 when a male, also from Allentown, opened her car door then left the area. The Allentown resident moved her vehicle to the opposite side of the parking lot and a short time later a female resident from Allentown opened a door on the vehicle and removed a purse from the front seat before fleeing the scene. The second woman and the man later were found to be possession of the driver’s belongings valued at $245. However, drug paraphernalia also was found in the vehicle by police.
