A resident reported to police 2:54 p.m. Jan. 15 receiving a call from the Chester County Sheriff’s Office reporting the resident had missed jury duty. The resident was instructed to go to Turkey Hill and get a money card valued at $426 and call back with the pin number. The resident followed those instructions and then called the Salisbury police after concerns it might be a scam which it was.
A resident in the 1600 block of Cardinal Drive reported 8:48 p.m. Jan. 16 the house was hit with eggs and two solar lights were removed.
A resident in the 800 block of Public Road reported 6:15 a.m. Jan. 16 the mailbox was knocked down and an unknown person cut the bottom of the pole holding the mailbox.
An unknown actor broke the back window of a vehicle in the 2100 block of Cypress Avenue. The incident was reported to police 10:15 a.m. Jan. 18.
Police received a report of an individual who attended at basketball game at Salisbury High School 7:20 p.m. Jan. 19 and returned 9:15 p.m. to find both tires flat. Both tires had been slashed.
A 17-year-old male, of Macungie, a 16-year-old female, of Emmaus and a 15-year-old female, of Macungie were charged after an incident at Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St., 11:06 a.m. Jan. 16. The 17-year-old male was charged with a summary citation for retail theft and misdemeanor conspiracy to commit retail theft, the 16-year-old female was charged with a misdemeanor for retail theft, conspiracy to commit retail theft, possession of a small amount of marijuanna and possession of drug paraphernalia and the 15-year-old was charged with conspiracy to commit retail theft. The 17-year-old male and 16-year-old female allegedly stuffed their backpacks with merchandise- the male with $39.50 in T-shirts and the female with $292 in various clothing. The 15-year-old allegedly acted as the lookout and will be referred to the juvenile justice panel. The other juveniles will be given referrals to juvenile court.
Franklin Middaugh, 28, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft following an incident at Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St., 3:41 p.m. Jan. 19. Middaugh allegedly removed three pairs of gloves valued at $155.98. He was stopped in the South Mall parking lot and taken to Central Booking for processing.
A resident of Sheffield Square Apartments, 1703 S. Albert St., reported 4:35 p.m. Jan. 17 an unknown actor entered a locked car and removed a purse in the console containing a driver’s license and Social Security card.
An unknown actor entered a vehicle in the 800 block of East Lynwood Street and removed a pair of Brooks Brothers sunglasses valued at $442. The theft was reported to police 3:45 p.m. Jan. 18.
A resident in the 2400 block of Dauphin Street reported 3:20 p.m. Jan. 18, being notified an unknown actor attempted to use the resident’s debit card on the Internet on two orders to be shipped to Texas.
A 1995 tan Honda Accord was reported stolen from Sheffield Square Apartments, 1703 S. Albert St., 8:30 a.m. Jan. 19.
