Q: What grade are you in?
A: I am a senior.
Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?
A: My favorite subject is English. I have always enjoyed reading and expressing myself through writing.
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A: I have been on the honor roll at Emmaus every quarter I have been there.
Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A: I am currently in the East Penn cyber school program, which allows me to work part time at Queen of the Valley Farm, which is a boarding kennel and doggie daycare. I am also involved in dog training and in my church.
Q: What is your next goal after high school?
A: After high school, I plan to attend college in order to obtain a degree in business.
Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?
A: My biggest challenge was learning to be self-disciplined after switching to the cyber school program, which is very independent.
Q: What do you want to be remembered for?
A: I want to be an inspiration to other students to persevere and do their best in anything they do.
Q: Who is in your family?
A: I live with my father, Kevin, and mother, Susan, as well as Peter the Chihuahua and Wink the cat. My sister, Laura, lives nearby with her husband. My brother, Andy, lives in Lititz with his wife.
Q: Do you have someone you look up to?
A: I look up to Kathy Poole-Price, the owner of Queen of the Valley Farm, for her diligence in running the best business possible, her seemingly never ending energy and motivation and her kindness and generosity.
Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?
A: I advise my peers to take school seriously and treat their teachers with kindness because the effort they put into every class often goes unnoticed.
