Lehigh Carbon Community College will provide current, quality skills training in welding and water treatment for individuals wanting to learn a trade.
These noncredit classes are offered on a rotational schedule during a semester and will be held at the college’s main campus in Schnecksville or at an off campus location.
Welding I teaches basic skills in shielded metal arch welding on steel.
Sessions will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 26 through March 10.
Welding II continues with “out-of-position” instruction and takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 15 through April 28.
Both levels of welding classes are held 6 to 9 p.m. at Welder Training & Testing Institute in Allentown.
There is a tuition cost for each course.
Students are required to wear work boots, straight-leg jeans, a long-sleeve shirt, safety glasses and welding gloves, jacket and helmet.

Level II of Water Treatment Plant Operator will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 8 through April 7.
Sessions meet 12:30 to 4 p.m. at LCCC’s main campus. There is a cost for tuition.
