Jon Anderson made quite an impact in his first college season in the pool at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He helped the Miners’ 200 freestyle relay team finish third in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Championships, while also placing sixth in the 100 freestyle in the conference meet as well. In this his sophomore season, he has picked up right where he left off. He holds the team’s second-fastest mark in the 50 freestyle (21.07) and third-fastest in the 100 butterfly (51.09) for the Miners.
Lebanon Valley College junior Garrett Collins, a distance swimmer for the Dutchmen, hold’s the school’s second-fastest time in the 500 and 1,000 freestyles this season. In his latest action in a meet against Misericordia, Collins won the 1,000 freestyle in 12:07.77 and placed second in the 500 freestyle.
Junior distance freestyle swimmer Danielle Guttman returns for her third season in the pool for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During the IUP Winter Invitational in mid-December, the last of the Crimson Hawks’ competitive meets, she placed third in 100 freestyle. She holds the 46th fastest time in the PSAC in that event.
