VictimS council
Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley, a local victim service and rape crisis center, is now accepting applications for volunteer positions.
This is an excellent opportunity for students and adults to gain experience in working directly with crime victims and their families, while helping those in their time of need.
Tasks include providing support to callers on the 24-hour hotline (in the comfort of home); accompanying victims of violence to hospitals, police stations and court; and assisting with office tasks, projects and fundraisers.
Training sessions begin Feb. 1 and will be held in the evenings at the CVC office, 801 Hamilton St., Allentown, third floor.
One training session will be held at the Penn State Ag Extension, 4184 Dorney Park Road, South Whitehall Township.
