Frederick S. Kuhns, 82, of Schnecksville, died on Jan. 8, 2016, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.
He and his wife Barbara J. (Schrope) Kuhns were married 58 years last Nov. 23.
Born May 25, 1933, in Crackersport, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Irene (Danner) Kuhns.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era.
A wood craftsman for Allen Organ, Macungie, for many years before retiring, he previously was a carpenter for several local contractors.
He also assisted with his family business, the former E.S. Kuhns and Son Florist for many years.
A member of the Slatington Baptist Church, he was a founding member of the Rippling Pines Camp, Potter County, and a volunteer at Fellowship Community.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Michael F. and his wife, Ana, of White Haven; daughter, Ann L. Dotterer and her husband, Gary of Kutztown; grandchildren Julie, Melissa and Brad; and great-grandson Fitz.
He was predeceased by brothers Roy and George.
