Bruce Edward Barker, Sr., 67, of Emmaus, died Jan. 6, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, after battling cancer. He was the husband of Carol (Kondravy) Barker, whom he met while both were students at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. They were married 45 years.
He was a construction estimator with A.P. Houser, Emmaus, for 45 years, during which time he developed a reputation for integrity and worked on numerous commercial and residential projects throughout the Lehigh Valley. His greatest joy was his family.
He was an active parishioner at Saints Peter & Paul Church, Allentown.
A native of Penn Hills, he loved Pittsburgh and the Steelers.
He is survived by his wife; sister, Kathleen Cefalo; sons, Bruce Jr., Jeremy; daughter-in-law, Rachel Belani-Barker; son, Eric, daughter-in-law, Layne Powers Barker and beloved granddaughter, Bridget Genevieve; son, Evan and his fiancee, Laura Gallagher.
