The 85-pound Just Born candy icon hangs gracefully above its decorated storage crate during the fireworks finale marking 2016 and the conclusion of the 7th annual two-day Peepsfest. This year’s family-friendly festival featured a unique Peeps Chick Rise at the start of the two-day festival. The brief ceremony of the Peep rising has been adopted as a permanent part of the annual festival program. The festival is said to be one of the premier family events in the Lehigh Valley and attracts some 10,000 Peeps fans, according to an ArtsQuest spokesman.
