The Swain School, 1100 S. 24th St., Allentown, will host Dr. Michael “Mykee” Fowlin 7 p.m. at a free presentation open to the public. “You Don’t Know Me Until You Know Me” is Fowlin’s one-man performance, which will deal with such issues as race, discrimination, violence prevention, suicide, gender equality and homophobia and strategies to address them. The Hokendauqua Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold the annual beginner fly tying class and run for eight consecutive Saturday mornings. The class is two hours and begins 9:30 a.m. and will be held at the Northampton Middle School, 1617 Laubach Ave., Northampton. There is a cost. Students age 18 and younger and veterans are free. This includes all materials and a fly tying manual. In addition, tools may be furnished on a loaner basis. In celebration of the final season of Downton Abbey, join Lower Macungie Library for a casual afternoon celebrating the show. Penn State York Professor of English Jennifer Nesbittwill give a talk about the historical time period and her love of Downton Abbey 2 p.m. During her talk, the library will provide a tea to fully encompass the Downton experience. The Lehigh Valley Beekeepers Association will meet 7 p.m. at the Lehigh County Ag Center, 4184 Dorney Park Road, Allentown. Steve Finke will give a presentation on the making of Mead, known as honey wine. Also, beekeeper Greg Kuebler will share a video on a unique “totally exposed” beehive.
