Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) has been named to the 2016 Military Friendly Schools list. More than 1,400 schools received this year’s designation, recognized for recruiting and supporting post-military students.

Schools on the Military Friendly Schools list also offer on-campus veterans programs, credit for service, military spouse programs and more. Criteria for making the Military Friendly Schools list included efforts to recruit and retain military and veteran students, results in recruiting military and veteran students and academic accreditations.

More than 300 LCCC students are veterans. The college operates veterans lounges on the Schnecksville and Tamaqua campuses and supports a veterans student club.
