LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Angela Vitale

Angela Vitale, 39, of Breinigsville, died March 30, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital after battling a long illness.

She and her husband Robert Vitale were married almost 15 years.

The 23 years they spent together was a love affair of epic proportions.

She was the mother of Ava, 9, and Colton, 8, who were the loves of her life.

Born in Wilkes Barre, she was the daughter of Andrew and Nancy (Kay) Stoshak.

A 1994 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and a 2000 graduate of Misericordia University, she earned a Master’s of occupational therapy and Bachelor’s degree in health science.

She was a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and a dedicated certified hand therapist for St. Luke’s Health Network, where she worked compassionately to treat her patients.

Despite her constant pain, she never gave up and always showed everyone care and compassion.

Her final days were spent with family and friends at Universal Studios, Orlando, Fla., having fun.

Her courage and bravery will be two of her most lasting legacies.

She was respected and liked by everyone who knew her and most of all she was a happy person with a zest for life.

She went above and beyond to help people.

It was her life’s work to serve patients, her community and her family.

Generous and charitable to her family, patients and complete strangers, she gave in many ways such as volunteering for her community and supporting many local charities.

She was a secret Santa for many people who would receive gifts, anonymously in the mail, for the holidays.

She always put her family first and loved them more than anything, as she would always say to Ava and Colton, “I love you to the moon and back” and to her husband “I love you forever and ever.”

She loved to travel with her family and visited eight different countries on two continents.

She loved trips to the beach, Disney World, the Rocky Mountains, and also visited dozens of national parks, including Yosemite and Yellowstone.

A huge music fan, she loved attending the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tenn., and again planned to attend in November.

She loved to sing and dance and always looked forward to dining out with family and friends.

An avid runner, she was a staple on the local running scene often time winning races overall or for her age group.

She had a fighter’s spirit in everything she did up until her last day.

She also loved to hike and, in 2015, while in the Colorado Rockies, she reached the summits of Mount Evans and Mount Princeton, both over 14,200 feet in elevation.

She was a compassionate mother and was very proud of Ava and Colton for growing into excellent students and gifted young athletes.

She believed they were destined to do great things in life.

In addition to her husband, children and parents, she is survived by brothers Andrew Jr. and Christopher; and sister Pamela.
