Interact Club members volunteer at two special events

On Sept. 26, members of the Emmaus High School Interact Club partnered with the Emmaus Rotary club to assist at the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley baseball game. EHS Interact Club members spent several hours at the Miracle League stadium in Schnecksville helping out wherever needed. Students served and built meaningful relationships with children of all ages from all over the Lehigh Valley.

On Oct. 21, members of the Interact Club, in partnership with the Emmaus Rotary Club and the Allentown West Rotary Club, participated in the annual Miracle League Halloween event. Students decorated the Emmaus Rotary Club tent and handed out candy to children. There were more than 500 children trick-or-treating at the event. The tent was staffed by members of the EHS Interact Club and Emmaus Rotary Club members Dr. Anthony Moyer and Michael Gibson. The event raised more than $500 profit for the Miracle League.

The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley was founded in 2006 and is dedicated to providing children with special needs and other developmental disabilities an opportunity to play baseball each spring through fall and to trick-or-treat on this special night each October.
