A resident of Lower Macungie Township reported Nov. 24 a caller advised the resident she won a lottery and, to claim a $2.5 million prize and a 2015 Mercedes Benz vehicle, the resident needed to send $2,000 to a person in Illinois. The township resident sent a FedEx overnight package containing the money. The police department in Illinois located a suspect and the money Nov. 25.
Reported by a resident in the 4700 block of Yorkshire Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors cut Christmas lights outside the residence at approximately 3 a.m. Dec. 12.
Reported by a resident in the 4700 block of Somerset Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors threw eggs and toilet paper at a residence at approximately 2:30 a.m. Dec. 12.
A 57-year-old Allentown male, a 55 year-old Allentown male and a 29-year-old female of Whitehall are charged with retail theft after they placed multiple items in the shopping cart while at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5:54 p.m. Dec. 6. The three fled after they were stopped by store personnel. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.
Reported by a resident in the 6800 block of Hunt Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered a vehicle and removed a purse and its contents between 10 p.m. Dec 12 and 8 a.m. Dec. 13. Anyone with information on this incident may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
