The Central City Project is Central Catholic High School’s unique service organization, serving the people of center city Allentown. CCHS students tutor grade school students, make and sell salsa from their urban garden and hold free community dinners. Since Thanksgiving, Central has been holding a clothing drive leading up to today, the first ever “Snack & Shop.”
Members of the community fill a bag with donated clothes for free and enjoy Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. This provides an opportunity for students’ donations to directly impact the surrounding community.
Central Catholic’s Christmas concert will be held 7 p.m. Dec. 19 in Masson Auditorium. The concert will feature the concert band and chorus. Admission is free; everyone is invited to attend.
CCHS will dismiss noon Dec. 23 for Christmas break. School reopens Jan. 4, 2016.
