Student of the week
Q. What grade are you currently in?
A. I am currently in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. I really enjoy learning calculus because Mr. John Wagner is a great teacher and I can use his teachings to solve real-world problems instead of trying to figure out how many apples John can buy with $5.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I am an Eagle Scout; I consistently earn high honor roll, I earned fourth place at the 2015 Emmaus Horror Film Festival and I was voted to be the vice president of Salisbury’s National Honor Society and the treasurer of Salisbury’s Model United Nations team.
Q. What extracurricular activities are you involved in, both in and out of school?
A. I participate in Debate, Scholastic Scrimmage, Model United Nations, Students Against Destructive Decisions, No Place for Hate, National Honor Society and Boy Scouts. I also film football, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, basketball and lacrosse both inside and outside of Salisbury.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. I would like to attend a four-year university to study film and media.
Q. What would you say your biggest challenge was so far?
A. My biggest challenge was planning and executing my Eagle Scout project. I created a memorial garden at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church. I needed to act as though I was the head of a business and present my ideas by myself in front of many committees.
Q. What do you want to be remembered for?
A. I want to be remembered for always being there for people, like always being able to drive when others are in times of need.
Q. Who is in your family?
A. My mother Lori, my father Denis and my sister Kelly.
Q. Do you have someone you look up to?
A. Eric Frankenfield and Agostino D’Ancona because they sparkle on the football field and are a pleasure to film every week.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. Always take advantage of every opportunity available to you. Exposing yourself to as much as possible is the best way to find your passion.
