Northwestern Lehigh School Board reorganizes

Election certificates from the Election Board of Lehigh County were read before the four new and one returning Northwestern Lehigh School Board members were sworn in during reorganization Dec. 7.

Magisterial District Judge Rod Beck swore in the new members.

Willard Dellicker, who was elected president, said he was humbled by the board action.

“I thank you for your confidence and am looking forward to working with the new members,” Dellicker said.

Dellicker said he wants the board to have the trust of both the community and school district employees.

Paul Fisher Jr. was named vice president and Todd Hermandez will serve as secretary.

Workshops will replace previously held committee meetings.

They are scheduled for Jan. 6, Feb. 3, March 2, April 6, May 4, June 1, Aug. 3, Sept. 7, Oct. 5 and Nov. 2. Workshops begin at 6:30 p.m. and are followed by executive sessions.

There will be no workshops in July and December.

Board meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 16, April 20, May 11, June 15, Aug. 17, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 7 for reorganization.

There will be no meeting in July.

Joseph Fatzinger was named to the Joint Operating Committee of Lehigh Career and Technical Institute, with John Casciano serving as alternate.
