A 45-year-old Hilltown Township man was taken into custody Dec. 3 on drug related charges at the Econo Lodge, 1151 Bulldog Drive, South Whitehall Township, say State Police Troop M Bethlehem.

Police say a search warrant was executed on Michael J. Ricci, of the 1200 block of Mill Road, Sellersville, by state police and the Lehigh County Drug Task Force, who was inside a room at the motel.

Police allege Ricci was in possession of crystal methamphetamine, a variety of prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and more than $7,000 in cash.

Police say Ricci was wanted on a narcotics related arrest warrant from Allentown Police Department.

Charges of possession with intent to deliver were filed against Ricci with District Judge Jake Hammond, South Whitehall Township.

Ricci is incarcerated in Lehigh County Prison.
