Faith Wesleyan to present live nativity, Night in Bethlehem

Faith Wesleyan Church, 3356 Route 309, Orefield, will be presenting a live nativity and Night in Bethlehem 7-9 p.m. Dec. 18, 19 and 20.

Shows, which run every 20 minutes during the two-hour period, include live animals, people and music to provide a re-enactment of the Christmas story.

The live nativity will be outside while the night time street scene in Bethlehem will be set up inside.

Cookies and cocoa will be served.

This year, Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, has added a 3 p.m. candlelight and communion service to its Dec. 24 worship schedule.

At 5 p.m., the family service will feature the children and youth choirs and candle lighting.

The 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. times include communion, candle lighting and the adult choirs.

Plan to arrive early to secure a parking spot and to hear music prior to the start of the service.

The grove lot will be fully lit and available for safe parking.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, will have a family service with children’s message 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

A traditional candlelight service will take place at 8 p.m.

Come early for 20 minutes of music prelude before both services.

Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, will have family Christmas Eve services at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. These times include communion but not candlelight.

At 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., worship services with candlelight and communion will take place.

Schnecksville Fire Company will have a flea market in the pavilion 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 20.

There will be no buffet breakfast in December, but there will be a New Year’s Eve party.
