The Allentown Symphony Association (ASA) has been awarded a $100,000 1:1 Matching Challenge Grant from The Century Fund. The grant matches gifts to the Symphony’s Annual Fund up to the Dec. 31 deadline.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for donors to double the impact of their gift and help assure the continued excellence of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra and its high-quality music education programs,” said Sheila Evans, ASA Executive Director.

“Our major educational initiative is El Sistema Lehigh Valley, which provides free daily music instruction to 100 low-income students at Roosevelt and South Mountain Middle Schools. And more than 50 students from Lehigh Valley recently participated in the Seventh Annual Young Musician String Festival at Miller Symphony Hall Nov. 15.”
