State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Caitlin R. Bagenstose, 24, of New Tripoli, was driving a 2012 Honda Civic when it was struck in the rear by a 2011 GMC Sierra driven by David J. Hartz, 51, of Sugarloaf 4:45 p.m. Nov. 24 on Route 309, Lynn Township.

According to police, the Honda was stopped at the intersection of Route 309 north, preparing to turn left onto Springhouse Road, when the GMC traveling north, struck the rear portion of the Honda with its front bumper.

Due to impact the Honda came to an uncontrolled final rest on Springhouse Road facing west.

The GMC came to a controlled rest just passed the intersection.

Both drivers, who police say were wearing seat belts, were uninjured, police say.

Hartz was charged with driving at an unsafe speed.
