The Lehigh Valley Charter HS for the Arts dancers presented their annual “Dance Soup” concert Nov. 20 and 21 at a matinée and two evening performances in the new Charter Arts Theatre.

Two acts, each comprising 15 performances, presented varying styles of dance choreographed by Charter Arts students, with some senior students performing their actual college auditions. Each selection communicated a mood and theme while being based on current events according to concert director Jennifer Dite-Weaver.

Dite-Weaver said some students began developing the concepts for their individual dance routines last summer.

Kimberly Maniscalco was artistic director of dance, Peter Wrenn-Melnick was director of production and lighting designer, Ryan Donohue assisted on the lighting. Stage managers were Lizzy Steirer on Act One and Alicia Harrison on Act Two.
