The Emmaus retail community will host the annual First Friday in December Christmas shopping extravaganza Dec. 4.

The event will feature extended store hours, a variety of unique sales and promotions, drinks and refreshments.

Christmas carolers from St. Ann’s School student choir will stroll throughout the retail district beginning at 3:30 p.m..

Added this year’s Christmas shopping experience is the “Red Easel Event,” a collaboration of the Allentown Arts Collective and several Emmaus merchants. Participating artists will set up their easels and paint in several Emmaus businesses. A “Meet the Artist” after party will be held at Amber Connection following shopping.

Participating in the First Friday in December event are: Amber Connection, Big Red Barn, Conversational Threads, Emmaus Jewel Shop, Emmaus Run Inn, House Splendid, La Belle Cuisine-Fine Cookware, Let’s Play Books, 187 Rue Principale, Schmidt’s Furniture Design, South Mountain Cycle, Sugar So Sweet Cupcakes, Switchback Pizza and Tangent Gifts. The Emmaus Historical Society also will be open and will feature live music.
