The 87th annual “Sheeprock Trek” and Thanksgiving Sunrise Service will be held 5:45 a.m. Nov. 26.

The hike will depart from the Macungie Fire Company, 31 S. Walnut St., Macungie. Free parking is available on the fire company lot. The Thanksgiving message will be given by Michael A. Delong, the grandson of the Trek’s founder.

The event is sponsored by Macungie Boy Scout Troop 71 and Macungie Girl Scout Troop 6413 and coordinated by the Macungie Historical Society. The event is free and open to the general public. No registration is required.

Refreshments will be served at the Macungie Fire Company after the service. In the event of inclement weather conditions, the program will be held in the fire department garages at 5:45 a.m.
