A 19-year-old man, sought by the Chestertown Police Department, Maryland was found dead around 2:50 p.m. on Nov. 21 in the picnic area at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, Albany Township, Berks County.
According to State Police Troop L Hamburg, Jacob Marburger was found along with the green Land Rover he was believed to be driving.
Police say Marburger died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to published news reports, FBI and police were looking for Marburger after he allegedly showed up at Washington College in Maryland, where he was a student, with an antique .22-caliber handgun. This gun was later found in an apartment off campus.
After Marburger allegedly brought the gun to school, he was given a mental health evaluation.
Authorities shut down the college after learning Marburger allegedly removed another gun from his parent’s home in Montgomery County and went missing.
