St. Peter’s to install new pastor on Nov. 22

Next week, Nov. 26, my family and I mark our 20th anniversary of living in Lynn Township.

I am always amazed at how many new things I learn every day about this beautiful area and I am thankful to have Lynn Township as my home.

In one week, you can win a turkey or attend an exciting football game, all without traveling more than 10 miles.

But the numbers of volunteers are dwindling because they move away or they become older and are unable to do all the things they used to do.

We all should consider volunteering with one of the different groups in our community.

Rebekah Thomas, a licensed minister with the Penn Northeast Conference of the United Church of Christ, will be officially installed on Nov. 22 as the pastor of St. Peter’s Union Church, 5129 Schochary Road, Lynnville.

All are invited to attend.

Ebenezer Church, New Tripoli, is having a Thanksgiving priceless bake sale 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 22.

Church members have baked pies, cakes, cookies and more, and there are no price tags on any of the baked goods.

The purchaser puts in a jar what they think the goodies are worth.
