A backpack containing marijuana and associated paraphernalia was found 2:30 p.m. Oct. 18, on Meadow Lane, Lower Macungie Township. The owner of the backpack may have it returned by contacting Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Andrew Larry Beitler, 27, of Kutztown, was charged with summary disorderly conduct after he allegedly waved a pellet handgun while in the parking lot of Wawa, 3321 Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 1:20 a.m. Oct. 14. Charges were filed through District Court 31-2-03.
Reported by a Macungie woman at Lower Macungie Road at Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors threw a smoky firework out of a vehicle while the woman was traveling on Lower Macungie Road 6:40 a.m. Oct. 4. Reported in the 4700 block of Baus Road, Lower Milford Township, unknown actors forcefully broke into a vehicle and removed 11 boxes of carpenter nails valued at $430 between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 23.
Reported by a resident on Kingsview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors gained access to an unlocked motor vehicle and took cash and a window punch tool between 10 p.m. Oct. 27 and 10 a.m. Oct. 28. Reported by a resident in the 5200 block of Homestead Circle, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors purchased two iPhone 6 smartphones on the victim’s account at an AT&T store in Vermont 1:30 p.m. Oct. 12.
James Quinn, 48, of Coopersburg, was charged with reckless endangering in the 1000 block of Primrose Lane, Lower Milford Township, 12:09 a.m. Oct. 11, in an alleged domestic violence incident. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-03.
Todd M. Swanger, 43, of Lebanon, was charged with harassment after he allegedly became upset and confronted another driver at the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard and Kressler Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:30 p.m. Oct. 29. According to police, Swanger was driving a commercial vehicle in the vicinity of a 24-year-old Reading man when he became upset with how the man was driving. At a red traffic signal at the intersection, Swanger allegedly left his vehicle, opened the vehicle door of the other driver, threatened the man and attempted to fight with him. At a red traffic signal at the Route 222 bypass and Krocks Road, Swanger allegedly left his vehicle again and attempted to open a locked door on the vehicle, threatened the victim and attempted to fight with the driver. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.
Reported at a residence in the 5600 block of Wedge Lane, Lower Macungie Township, a 28-year-old Allentown woman threw rocks through a window 10:42 p.m. Oct. 18.
Kerry John Landis, 55, of Macungie, was taken into custody after allegedly driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol at a vehicle crash at the intersection of Sauerkraut Lane and Saddlebrook Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:20 p.m. Oct. 24.
Reported by Wells Fargo Bank at a foreclosed residence in the 4000 block of Shuler Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors forced open a locked door at the residence between 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29 and 7:30 a.m. Nov. 2. No items were taken.
Reported in the 2800 block of Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered a storage facility and forcibly entered numerous locked storage trailers and removed several power generators between 6 p.m. Oct. 24 and 7:55 a.m. Oct. 25.
