According to the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, a New Tripoli man has been charged by the Lehigh County Drug Task Force with operating a methamphetamine lab.
Alfred N. Zotter III, 48, of 6719 Madison St., rear, was charged on Nov. 6 with one count each of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a felony; possession of methamphetamine, a misdemeanor; possessing chemicals with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, a felony; operating a methamphetamine laboratory and illegal dumping of methamphetamine waste, a felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Chief Detective Joseph P. Stauffer of the Drug Task Force said Zotter was running an active lab and he was in the process of cooking methamphetamine when a search warrant was executed by members of the Drug Task Force, State Police and the State Police Meth Lab Team.
According to the affidavit of probable cause a search warrant was executed Nov. 6 at 6719 Madison St., rear.
Zotter was in the residence, which was allegedly being used as a methamphetamine lab.
The Meth Lab Team allegedly located various chemicals needed to make methamphetamine.
Detectives also allegedly found methamphetamine in bags in a pocket of Zotter’s shorts and an electric scale and grinder in the residence.
