Superintendent Dr. Michael Schilder issued the following statement Nov. 6.

“School opened on Monday, Nov. 2 at Emmaus High School and has continued throughout the week without further incident. Police and administration have followed all leads and questioned many students.

Two students have now been removed from the high school; in order to protect the rights of the individuals involved and to not impede an ongoing police investigation, nothing more can be stated at this time. The school is safe.

I thank and commend our students, staff, and community for handling this situation in such a calm and responsible manner.”
