Emily Emick has been named Girl of the Month for October by the Woman’s Club of Whitehall Township.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Emick of Whitehall.

Emick is involved in many activities at Whitehall High School. She is a member of concert choir, serving as president and a part of the chorale choir, gospel choir and the spring musical

Emick also enjoys her time with the Leo Club, organizing blood drives; Scholastic Scrimmage, serving as captain; Model UN; Student Forum; and the varsity swim team.

Emick has membership with National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.

She was chosen for PMEA County Chorus, PMEA District Chorus and PMEA Regional Chorus.

She was named Eastern Pennsylvania Model UN Conference’s best delegate in 2015.

Additionally, Emick was a 2015 Freddy Award nominee and the recipient of the Vic Kumma Award for Outstanding Solo Vocal Performance.

She earned the LVMTA Achievement Award, receiving a superior plus rating, and was invited to sing at the LVMTA 2015 gala.

Outside of school, Emick is part of the Bach Scholars Program through the Bach Choir of Bethlehem. She is also a member of First Presbyterian Church’s youth choir and youth group.

She hopes to attend Lafayette College, majoring in economics. She also plans to study political science and public policy.
