NAVY BAND

As part of Navy Band Northeast’s Veterans Day Tour 2015, the band’s Pops Ensemble will be performing a concert 7 p.m. Nov. 8 in the auditorium of William Allen High School, 106 N. 17th St., Allentown.

Navy Band Northeast performs a wide variety of musical styles, including traditional band literature, popular standards and patriotic favorites. Whether performing for an outdoor summer concert series or a holiday concert in December, the band provides musical entertainment for audiences of all ages.

Navy Band Northeast ensembles perform more than 300 engagements annually, personifying the quality and professionalism of today’s Navy and instilling pride and patriotism during each and every performance.

One of Navy Band Northeast’s primary responsibilities involves touring its 11-state area of responsibility. Many of the band’s performing units embark each year on concert tours throughout the Northeast, allowing the band to reach out to audiences in areas that do not have opportunities to see the Navy’s musical ensembles on a regular basis.

The concerts are family-friendly events, meant to be entertaining to veterans, families, individuals and those interested in joining the Navy.

All Navy Band Northeast performances are free and open to the public.
