Alexis Torres, 24, of Fountain Hill, was charged with allegedly driving under the influence following an accident in the 1700 block of Broadway 10:38 p.m. Oct. 23. When police arrived, the vehicle was on its roof with Torres still in the driver’s seat. Police detected a strong odor of marijuana. Torres was taken to St. Luke’s University Health Network with minor injuries.
Eric Zimmerer, 47, of Salisbury, will be charged, pending blood draw results, for allegedly driving under the influence following an accident 7:53 p.m. Oct. 23. Zimmerer was transported to Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest for minor injuries.
Emilia Sorto, 48, of Allentown, has been charged with allegedly falsifying information regarding residency under the Pennsylvania Residence and Right to Free School Privileges. Her 18-year-old student attended Salisbury schools 381 days while the family lived outside of the district. Sorto received a summary offense citation and is responsible for reimbursing the school district for $26,598. The student is no longer in the Salisbury School District.
A Salisbury resident in the 1900 block of Woodhaven Drive, called AT&T 4:45 p.m. Oct. 23 after having trouble with his cell phone. An AT&T representative asked the resident how he liked his new phone. It was then discovered four phones had been purchased in Jacksonville, Fla. under the resident’s AT&T account.
A resident in the 1400 block of Gaskill Avenue reported 5:19 p.m. Oct. 27 an unknown actor opened a credit card in the resident’s name. It was discovered after the resident received a notice from a collection agency.
A resident called police 12:32 a.m. Oct. 25 after smelling smoking in the area of Devonshire Park. Police discovered a group of people at Devonshire Park, 2815 Bevin Drive. Three individuals fled; a 15-year-old male handed police a bag filled with a green substance and was cited for disorderly conduct.
Tina Getter, 52, of Whitehall, was charged with assault following an incident 11:35 p.m. Oct. 26 at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest. Getter was in the emergency room being treated when she attempted to leave against medical advice. Getter allegedly punched the nurse who tried to stop her from leaving. Charges will be filed.
A resident in the 1200 block of East Susquehanna Street reported sometime between noon and 4 p.m. Oct. 26 an unknown actor removed a Pennsylvania registration plate from a vehicle.
A resident in Gilly’s Mobile Home Park, 1414 E. Susquehanna St., reported 12:01 p.m. Oct. 28 the theft of a card code reader from a car valued at $1,100.
Paragon Transit, 1700 Gaskill Ave., reported 7 a.m. Oct. 26, sometime between Oct. 23 and 26, an unknown actor(s) cut and removed seven catalytic converters from seven Chevy Astro vans parked in the Harry S Truman Elementary School parking lot.
