Country Meadows hosts expo for senior citizens

Country Meadows retirement community, Upper Macungie, recently served as the gathering site for representatives of numerous companies and state agencies that offer senior citizen services.

“[The goal is] for seniors to know all the services available to them,” Ellen Millard-Kern, chief of staff for state Sen. Browne, R-16th, stated.

Members of the community joined Country Meadows residents in browsing exhibits and meeting representatives from a wide range of community programs.

Lehigh Valley Health Network provided free flu shots, and information pertaining to veterans’ services was available at the Pennsylvania Mobile Veterans’ Outreach Van.

The expo opened the door for seniors to gain insight into developing or maintaining a healthy lifestyle, to explore all types of assistance, or to just investigate possibilities.

Anyone seeking more information may contact Browne’s office at 610-821-8468.
