Salisbury police

A 27-year-old female reported between 9 and 10 p.m. Oct. 6 while waiting for a ride to work in the 1700 block of Seidersville Road, a male approached her, put something in her back and demanded her purse. She fled. The suspect is described as an hispanic male with long braids wearing jeans and a light-colored shirt. The suspect fled in a dark-colored four door Honda headed toward Emmaus Avenue. Police are investigating.

Arthur Guzman, 28, of Salisbury, was charged with allegedly providing a false report to law enforcement, harassment and simple assault following an incident in a home in the 2200 block of Honeysuckle Road 11:10 a.m. Oct. 9. Guzman was apprehended along East Emmaus Avenue. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Police responded to an assault call 12:56 a.m. Oct. 9 in the 1600 block of Broadway between two juveniles. The investigation continues.

Stephanie Rommel, 46, of Pottstown, was charged with theft by deception, bad checks and receiving stolen property 10:30 a.m. Oct. 9. Rommel allegedly passed seven bad checks in the Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest gift shops between Sept. 27 and Oct. 2 for a total of $1,170.71. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Joshua Greiss, 30, of Reading, was apprehended by Salisbury police on a warrant for a Bucks County probation violation. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Brandon Raab, 18, of Green Lane, was charged with alleged possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, underage drinking and driving without an inspection following a traffic stop southbound on Cedar Crest Boulevard 3:55 p.m. Oct. 12. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Alex Mackenzie, 22, of Pennsburg, was charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance following a vehicle stop southbound on Cedar Crest Boulevard 3:55 p.m. Oct. 12. Police also determined Mackenzie was wanted on a warrant from Lehigh County probation. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

A resident in the 1800 block of South Albert Street reported 7:16 p.m. Oct. 12 the theft of numerous pieces of copper piping, tools and two big block engines from a garage sometime during the last two months. The value of stolen items is $8,000.

A Whitehall resident reported 7:20 p.m. Oct. 12 going to work at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest. While in the hospital for two hours, she allowed a new acquaintance to sleep in her car. She met the suspect, from Lowell, Mass. one week before on Facebook. When she returned to her car, the suspect and car were missing. The car was recovered by the Lowell, Mass. police department Oct. 13. The victim refused prosecution; she only wanted her car back.

A deer was found in a yard in the 1400 block of Seidersville Road 8:51 p.m. Oct. 13. The deer had been struck by an arrow. Salisbury police called the game commission for assistance.

A fox was found in a driveway in the 800 block of Laible Street 3:36 p.m. Oct. 13. The fox was barely moving and was taken away by personnel from Pocono Wildlife.

Weil Clocks, 2200 31st SW, reported noon Oct. 13 an unknown actor broke into the soda machine and removed soda.

A resident in the 1000 block of Debbie Lane reported 10 a.m. Oct. 13 an unknown actor used the resident’s credit card to purchase a Royal Carribean cruise valued at $2,600.

Yvette Aybar, 25, of Allentown, while a patient at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest, allegedly grabbed a hospital laptop and threw it on the ground 11 a.m. Oct. 14. The value of the laptop is $912. The Salisbury Police Department issued a criminal complaint.
