Cool weather means fall is in full swing. Now is the time to venture out and enjoy the scenery.

Jacob’s Church, Route 143, Jacksonville, will host an oyster supper from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 7 in the activity center.

Fried oysters, oyster pie, fresh cut fries and fried shrimp platters will be available. There will also be homemade desserts, including lemon strip and coconut pies.

New Life Lutheran Church, 6804 Weiss Road, New Tripoli, is hosting a free Trunk or Treat 1:30-4 p.m. Oct. 25, for area children and families.

Come in costume, visit decorated cars and collect candy and treats. There will be crafts, games, beverages, hot dogs and chips. There also will be a chili tasting stand.
