The student government association at Salisbury High School, under the advisement of Guidance Counselor Mike Anderson, coordinated a homecoming parade Oct. 16 prior to the football game.
The parade began in front of the administration building, continued to Tweed Avenue and along Montgomery Street, ending at the high school.
Salisbury Police Chief Allen Stiles opened the parade along with a color guard.
Adam DeFulvio carried the Salisbury flag and was followed by members of the Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School bands.
Members of the Salisbury Township Police Department were along the parade route to assist and volunteers from Eastern Salisbury Fire Department and Western Salisbury Fire Departments drove their firetrucks in the parade.
Also included in the parade was the acting township supervisor, Salisbury School District superintendent and assistant superintendent for teaching and learning, school board members, Salisbury Youth Association, Scouts, No Place for Hate, SHS principal and assistant principal, members of the 2015-2016 Homecoming Court, B. Frick’s Beetle, Key Club, Class of 2019, Wheels of Time, SHS alumni, St. Luke’s University Health Network, Lehigh Valley Health Network, Medivac, Hellertown Fire Department and residents.
