Residents attend open house

The Eastern Salisbury Fire Department hosted its annual community day Oct. 10 at the firehouse, 1000 E. Emmaus Ave.

The annual event is held in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week.

This year’s event allowed township residents, supporters, fans and friends to visit the firehouse, explore the fire trucks from both Eastern and Western Salisbury fire departments, visit with Judge the arson dog from the Allentown Fire Department and his partner Allentown Fire Chief Lee Laubach and climb through an obstacle course.

Exhibits included the township’s public safety vehicle and the fire safety trailer jointly owned by the fire departments.

Other attractions included face painting by Christianne McLane and fire extinguisher demonstrations from Boy Scouts.

The Eastern Salisbury fire department would like to thank everyone who came out to show support.
