LIFE FAIR

The Allentown Health Bureau will administer free shingles shots 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 14 at Lehigh Valley Active Life Health Fair, 1633 W. Elm St., Allentown. The program is open to Allentown residents who are 60 and over. Eligible seniors must have Medicare and no supplemental insurance as well as no Medicare “D.”

Additionally, Lehigh Valley Health Network will administer flu shots; St. Luke’s University Health Network will provide cholesterol tests and stroke assessments; Hartzell’s Pharmacy will provide osteoporosis and blood sugar screening; Traditions of Hanover will administer balance checks, staffers from the office of State Rep. Mike Schlossberg. R-132nd, will conduct unclaimed property tests and Hear PA will offer hearing tests. A number of vendors will offer blood pressure screenings.

The hours of the health fair are 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
