Kareem Kyheem Lomax, 23, of Allentown, was taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Police after a foot chase during a traffic stop along South Cedar Crest Boulevard at Juniper Road, 2:43 a.m. Sept. 6.
According to a press release from police, Lomax was the rear seat passenger in a vehicle stopped by police for traffic violations. Lomax allegedly had an open bottle of liquor between his feet at the time of the traffic stop.
Lomax also allegedly failed to produce photo identification when asked by police. Lomax allegedly refused a pat down search by police at the scene. A short time later Lomax allegedly fled on foot but was taken into custody.
While searching the route of the foot pursuit after Lomax was in custody, troopers found a .357 Magnum revolver in the grass. The gun was loaded with four rounds of ammunition, according to police.
