The 163rd edition of The Great Allentown Fair, with a theme of “Find Your Treasure in Agri-Land,” is history.

The hard work of more than 500 volunteers and workers made this fair successful and the number of exhibitors was up slightly, with 1,217 individuals showing more than 10,000 items, including animals.

This year’s Best of Show winners are:

Special baking contests: Spam (Kids), Hannah Toomey, Allentown; Crystal Spring Farm Pennsylvania’s Incredible Angel Food Cake contest, Collette Gaugler, Fogelsville; Mitzi’s Table “Mac N Cheese With a Twist” contest, Theresa Del Maso, New Tripoli; Gold Medal Flour Cookie contest, Diane Toomey, Allentown; Clover Hill Winery’s Cooking With Wine Chili contest, Danica Schofer, Schnecksville; Bechdolt’s Orchard Fresh Peach Dessert contest, Deb Gruber, Slatington and Cherylanne Neidlinger Memorial Lupus Awareness “Chopped” contest, Collette Gaugler, Fogelsville;

Dairy Grand Champions Holstein and Supreme Champion Female: Adam Dietrich, of New Tripoli;

Dairy Goat Grand Champions winners were: Saanen, Andrew Bowman, Recorded Grades, Carole Holder, All Other Purebred, Aiden Sell, all from Slatington;

Sheep Grand Champions: Hampshire Ram, Elijah Stark, and Hampshire Ewe, Mason Eisenhard, both of New Tripoli;

Swine Grand Champions winners: Berkshire Boar, Lynn Lazarus, Chester White Boar, Lazarus Family, Landrace Boar, Grant Lazarus III, Supreme Champion Boar, Lazarus Family, Chester White Gilt, Lazarus Family, Landrace Gilt, Grant Lazarus III, and Spot Gilt, Lazarus Family, all from Germansville; and

Breeding Meat Goats Supreme Doe and Supreme Buck winners: Rocky Acres Farm, New Tripoli.
